DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
"The Board of Directors shall have the duty and responsibility of the direction and general operation of the TRC campground and its assets. The Board of Directors shall establish a budget for the camping season prior to the beginning of that season. The business and affairs of the corporation shall be managed and all corporate powers shall be exercised by or under the direction of the Board of Directors. They shall set broad policies and evaluate bottom-line achievements of the organization. They are expected and encouraged to take an active role in the general operation of the campground AND are expected and encouraged to be an active member of an established committee. They shall adopt rules, regulations and operating procedures for the use of TRC. They shall have the right to appoint any and all committees deemed necessary for the operation of the organization".

Therefore, the following Standing Committees are being developed for the 2006-2007 Board of Directors. A brief description of the responsibility of each committee is provided:

Executive Committee, Bob N., Chair

The elected Officers shall comprise the Executive Committee, with the power to act on behalf of the organization and, within the By Laws of the organization, are charged with the implementation of all decisions of the Board of Directors.

Operations Committee, Dale M., Chair

The Operations Committee is responsible for the scheduling and management of trash disposal and toilet services at the campground. Also it will be responsible for grounds and equipment maintenance, as well as the central water distribution system for fire safety. Operations Committee may be asked to perform other tasks as determined by the Board of Directors.

Planning & Development Committee, Mike Q., Chair

The Development Committee is responsible for land use and management. Clearing and removal of trees, the development of roads and trails are a few of the responsibilities of the Development Committee. Additionally this committee will be responsible for determining and maintaining campsite boundaries and NGPA buffer zones.

Rules Committee, Brad J., Chair

The Rules Committee is responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive set of Rules and Regulations for TRC members. The Rules Committee will also develop and manage policy and procedure for rules violations and infractions.

Finance Committee, Brad J., Chair

The Finance Committee will be responsible for the accounting of all funds at TRC. This committee will plan capitol expenditures and develop cash control procedures with the Treasurer. Additionally, this committee will be actively involved in TRC's fundraising efforts.

Marketing Committee, position vacant- contact Bob N.

This committee is responsible for all internal and external public information from and about TRC. The committee is expected each year to produce a color brochure, plan and place all advertising media, develop the marketing message of TRC, develop and manage the TRC website and other tasks as determined by the TRC Board of Directors or Executive Committee.

The scope and responsibilities of each committee may be modified depending on the needs of the campground as determined by the Board of Directors. Each and every Board Member should volunteer for one or more of the committees listed above. Any member who does not volunteer may be assigned to committees as needed. Committees will be expected to meet regularly between Board meetings and provide written reports to the Board of Directors. Committees are expected to develop policies and procedures for ratification by the Board of Directors. Committee Chairs will schedule meetings, notify members, arrange for meeting minutes and report to the Board of Directors.
